Tranquil, relaxing, beautiful!
Mos is located just outside of San Ignacio and it is so pleasant and relaxing. The property is large, open & beautiful. There was a river nearby that was great to swim in on the hot day. The room was large and airy, there was a fan but with the windows open at night, I didn't need it. The wifi was fast and reliable. I had dinner there and James & Thelma made me a huge, delicious vegetarian meal with no notice at all- they were very welcoming and accommodating. After dinner, we sat and chat on the porch for a long while and it was fantastic. I cannot wait to go back. Around sundown, I walked to the back of the large property and sat on the rivers edge, watching the sky change colors and all of the birds flying around, so tranquil.

If youre staying in the Area, 100% stay here!
Perhaps drinking water could be provided to guests regularly - I asked for some and the host graciously gave to me but Im aware it wasnt included.
The hosts were very welcoming and kind people. I needed a little escape from work and this was PERFECT. The breakfast cooked by the host is huge and delicious - A MUST! You're so close to the river and just a nice walk or ride away from town. When I come back, I'd stay no where else but here.

There is a long list of what we did not get in this propoerty. We could not pay by credit card, there was no Wi Fi, it was difficult to reach the propoerty because Google Maps did not bring you to the right place, the bed linen not clean, the bathroom outside and you need to go on the wet grass to reach it, no road. Bad, bad, bad.
No advantages but great discomfort. Bad gravel road to reach the propoerty, too far from the center, bathroom outside, not clean bed linen. Really bad service.

like coming home
Thelma and James were so friendly and welcoming. We immediately felt at home. They helped us out with our cash problem and learned us so much about Belize. We had lovely conversations and enjoyed the meals they made for us very much! I would recommend staying there to everyone.

Great place to chill in the beautiful countryside of San Ignacio.
Slightly far away from the downtown but the oval buses run every hour
Fantastic place to stay and relax in the countryside of San Ignacio. The owner James is a great chap who is very friendly and welcoming. If you ask he will cook you some great Jamaican style food and is very helpful with anything you require 👍🏼!!! I would definitely stay here if I return to San Ignacio.

Nice and quite place in nature
That we had to leave.
Here we found a beautyfull and quiet place to relax and made some new friends. The simple but nice and clean cabañas are equiped with almost everthing you need (a fridge is missing but just talk to James). Sure it's not a FiveStar Hotel. The lot is directly connected to the river where whe could swim and there are also other nice places on the riverside just a few minutes away. The next supermarket 10min away (we walked there every day), since we where not in hurry it was also nice to see how the locals life, far from the turism in SanIgnacio where we also made a trip to with the local bus that drives along the main road (15-20min from campsite to city center and 2$/pers.) The owners James and Thelma made our stay to one of the best in GUA / Belize so far. Had nice evenings and they did everything to serve a great time. If you just want to relax, have nice conversations and enjoy the nature - don't miss that place. If you're looking for a fancy and luxury place you might be wrong. Thankxx again James and Thelma, see you next time - prommised. Benni+Julia

The owners and the staff are great people. All the people in Santa familia are very friendly .
Nothing was wrong with Moe's. It is a great place to stay and relax.
We loved the breakfast, it was healthy and delicious. Great view, great people. The towns people are very friendly and helpful.

It's a bit out of town and you have to know were to go. Take a taxi to hammock Bridge and then get the ferry. Walk straight on, and take a left at a dirt road. Or take a bus to Santa Familia and tell the driver to stop at Mr. James, the Jamaican.
Thelma and James are very friendly and helpful! We had a really nice stay in one of the cabins in their beautiful garden. Breakfast and dinner was great. Thelma and James phoned to book us tours with David, a great guide! We had a great time. Thanks, Thelma and James!

Great little place to feel away from it all!
At times the water was out and the toilets (which are not private) were out of order. This was likely a city problem and not the owners' of course. They can't control if the water is out for the neighborhood. They provided back-up water for showers and we never went without running water in our cabin. The cabins aren't close to town but the owners for a fee similar to a cab may drive you in. Again, buses are a good alternative or even better -- rent a car and you're set, away from crowds, but easily able to return to town.
The hosts were extremely sweet and kind. They always tried to meet our requests and they were so kind to our three little ones. Clearly they work hard to meet their guests needs. The grounds are beautiful. My favorite part of the entire stay. The other guests very nice and since the cabins are on such a big lot it almost feels like you have the whole place to yourself. The location was off the beaten-path and still felt safe day or night. Local neighbors were very kind and helpful. The cabin was equipped with kitchen goods and comfortable bedding/towels. It's easy to get into town on the city bus, but you have to keep the schedule in mind.

Shower was horrible. Water came out of the shower head in only one hole...all other holes clogged up. no attempt to check and ensure that showers are acceptable.
Owners were very welcoming and friendly

Tropical home from home
The couple who own and run Moe's place were very welcoming, as were their dogs and cats. Not fancy but refreshingly non-corporate, with great breakfast; we felt at home in the beautiful tropical Belize countryside.
